Resumen
En este trabajo investigamos la importancia de la Policía Nacional y su compromiso con la protección del ambiente y su biodiversidad en el posconflicto colombiano. El nuevo escenario que se avecina le impone a la institución asumir nuevas responsabilidades por ser una entidad pública, que por razón de su misión y sus funciones en la protección del ambiente y su biodiversidad debe estar a la vanguardia de la consolidación de la seguridad y convivencia ciudadana en las zonas del país donde se amenaza la diversidad biológica después de que se firme las negociaciones de paz con los diferentes grupos insurgentes como las FARC y el ELN. Debido a la elevada conflictividad social que se puede generar, aumentaría las problemáticas ambientales existentes como la minería ilegal, el tráfico ilegal de fauna y flora, la deforestación, el maltrato animal poniendo en riesgo los ecosistemas vulnerables que existen en el país, precipitando la desaparición y extinción de estos ambientes, perjudicando a comunidades urbanas y rurales, es por esto que la Policía Nacional debe reorientar, consolidar, fortalecer su talento humano, sus capacidades educativas, preventivas y operativas, sus recursos financieros y logísticos con el fin de crear condiciones que propicien soluciones reales y tangibles a las problemáticas ambientales con el objetivo de generar comunidades y ambientes seguros y protección de la biodiversidad del país.
Here we investigate the importance of the National Police and their commitment to protecting the environment and biodiversity in the Colombian post-conflict. The new stage is coming to the institution imposes new responsibilities to be a public entity, which because of its mission and functions in protecting the environment and biodiversity must be at the forefront of the consolidation of security and coexistence citizen of the country in areas where biological diversity after the peace negotiations with the various insurgent groups such as FARC and ELN firm is threatened. Because of the high social conflicts that can be generated, would increase the existing environmental problems such as illegal mining, illegal trafficking in wildlife, deforestation, animal abuse jeopardizing the fragile ecosystems that exist in the country, precipitating the demise and extinction of these environments, harming urban and rural communities, which is why the National Police should redirect, consolidate, strengthen its human talent, educational, preventive and operational capabilities, financial and logistical resources in order to create conditions foster real and tangible environmental issues with the aim of creating communities and safe environments and protect the country's biodiversity solutions.
