Since the 1960s the potential of organisms for the removal of heavy metals in different resources has been investigated due to the use of increasingly polluting products. Bioremediation emerges as a method to mitigate the impact caused by these pollutants. find the use of fungi, mycoremediation, in this work develops the state of the art of the use of the Aspergillus Niger mushroom for the removal of heavy metals in wastewater, for this purpose, the bibliographic research of articles and scientific journals published in the last years; In this work it was established that the fungus must be cultivated maintaining growth factors such as temperature, pH, amount of nutrients, humidity, and concentration of contaminants, these factors directly affect the growth and efficiency in the removal of the heavy metal. observes that the fungus performs the processes of biosorption, bioaccumulation and biotransformation generating a heavy metal removal and an increase in biomass, it is determined that the different strains of the Aspergillus niger fungus are efficient in the removal for heavy metals.
