The construction of roads in Colombia is currently the main bet of government entities to advance in the social, cultural and economic development of the country, however, the great worldwide problem caused by environmental contamination is also known, one of the major causes of this problem is the inadequate management and storage of Construction and Demolition Waste (RCD), which becomes centers of contamination within cities and affects the health of citizens. This design includes in the flexible pavement structure granular materials of RCD origin enhanced by Geosynthetics. These materials are characterized as Recycled Aggregates (AR) through the materials and construction specifications of the Urban Development Institute (IDU) of the year 2018. Through secondary information, the characterization of the traffic, geotechnical exploration, characterization of the Geosynthetics, asphalt mixtures and Recycled Aggregates implemented in the design of the pavement structure of the Western Railway Av. Between Av. Boyacá and Av. Agoberto Mejía are presented. from the city of Bogotá. In this way, the physical and mechanical properties of the granular materials of RCD origin implemented in a flexible pavement structure are referenced. In this sense, and based on technical foundations, the aim is to encourage the construction of environmentally friendly road infrastructure works, taking advantage of the benefits of RCDs as construction materials.
