Resumen
Para ser un buen docente universitario que transmita, trascienda y que deje huella en la vida, tanto académica como personal de los estudiantes a través del tiempo y el espacio, se necesita mucho más que un título profesional, el presente trabajo demuestra esta tesis y responde entre otras preguntas ¿qué es ser buen docente?, ¿qué es enseñar en una universidad?, ¿cualquier profesional puede ser docente solo con saber una disciplina?, existen muchas variables implicadas en la labor docente.
El presente escrito demuestra que para ser un buen docente universitario se necesita mucho más que un título profesional, y aunque no es una postura aún ganada, faltan muchas batallas, las ideas aquí plasmadas aún se constituyen en debates interminables. La autora de este escrito es reiterativa en afirmar que, el solo contar con un título profesional y ser experto en un área disciplinar en conjunto con la práctica de la profesión, no nos convierte en buenos profesores, se requiere la formación en docencia y aunque no es la receta mágica para ser un buen profesor, quien escribe estas líneas está segura que mejorarían significativamente su práctica profesoral. De igual manera, formarse pedagógicamente no solo es necesario, sino que debe hacer parte de la ética profesional que como docentes se debe tener y asumir con los estudiantes y todos los actores del entorno educativo; igualmente los retos a los que se enfrenta hoy la educación superior, requiere poner en la agenda de las instituciones la formación pedagógica de los docentes y que se establezcan directrices al respecto, se podría pensar en proponer que sea un requisito sine qua non para ejercer la docencia.

This writing shows that to be a good university teacher you need much more than a professional degree, and although it is not a position yet won, many battles are missing, the ideas embodied here are still constituted in endless debates. The author of this writing is reiterative in stating that, just having a professional title and being an expert in a disciplinary area in conjunction with the practice of the profession, does not make us good teachers, training in teaching is required and although not It is the magic recipe to be a good teacher. Whoever writes these lines is sure that they would significantly improve their teaching practice. In the same way, pedagogical training is not only necessary, but it must be part of the professional ethics that as teachers must be had and assumed with the students and all the actors in the educational environment; Likewise, the challenges that higher education faces today require putting the pedagogical training of teachers on the agenda of the institutions and establishing guidelines in this regard, it could be thought of proposing that it be a sine qua non requirement to exercise education teaching.
