Resumen
El artículo reflexiona sobre las opciones de empleabilidad de los soldados regulares que prestan en la actualidad su servicio militar obligatorio en el municipio de Granada. Se plantea la problemática incluyendo conceptos y cifras descriptivas del contexto del soldado regular y de la situación socio económica del municipio. Se brinda un marco teórico que relata la importancia de ofrecer mayores posibilidades de empleo al grupo en mención desde la perspectiva del capital social; se proporcionan elementos de análisis sobre las organizaciones que afectan la probabilidad de conseguir empleo de los soldados. Se finaliza concluyendo que las escasas expectativas de empleo de esta población se determinan por la inexistencia de un proceso de acople en el ejercicio de traslado de la vida militar a la civil y que las normas y los convenios existentes no parecen suficientes para solventar la situación.
The article reflects on the employement possibilities that current regular soldiers in the compulsory military service in the city of Granada have. Issues and concepts including descriptive figures of the context of the regular soldiers and their socioeconomic situation of the municipality are considered. A theoretical framework from the perspective of social capital, describing the importance of providing more employment opportunities to the group mentioned is provided; additionaly, elements of analysis on the organizations that affect the probability for soldiers of getting a job are provided. The article ends concluding that this population’s low expectations are determined due to the lack of a readaptation in the transfer of the military civilian process, and that the existing standards and conventions are insufficient to resolve the situation.
