Abstract
Este trabajo tiene como objetivo investigar el comportamiento de la economía venezolana, caracterizado por su dependencia rentista, para ello ha sido importante analizar la trayectoria, desde el origen del petróleo en Venezuela, su evolución y el impacto que ha causado en los sectores social, político y económico, para lo cual me he enfocado básicamente en cinco fases del gobierno del presidente Hugo Chávez Frías, haciendo un recorrido entre los años 1998 a 2012.
This work aims to investigate the behavior of the Venezuelan economy, characterized by its dependence annuitant, for it was important to analyze the path from the source of oil in Venezuela, its evolution and the impact it has had on the social, political and economic, for which I have focused on five main phases of the government of President Hugo Chavez Frías, making a path between the years 1998 to 2012.
