Abstract
El presente documento analiza la profundización financiera sucedida en Colombia para el periodo 2002-2014, desde los planteamientos teóricos de la hipótesis McKinnon-Shaw y el contraste con el enfoque funcional de Levine, para establecer, que si bien se ha intensificado la profundización financiera para los últimos años en el país, se identifican problemas en su formulación que generan fricciones de mercado, lo que evita que se lleguen a los objetivos económicos de desarrollo y crecimiento que plantea la teoría.
The present document analyzes the financial deepening happened in Colombia for the period 2002-2014, from the theoretical expositions of the hypothesis McKinnon-Shaw and the contrast with Levine's Functional Approach, to establish, that though the financial deepening has been intensified for the last years in the country, the same one contains problems of formulation that generate frictions of market, which he prevents from coming near to the economic aims of development and growth that raises the theory.
