Abstract
On the stage of free trade agreements is part of the general idea of the existence of "conditions of fair competition" in the participation of trade with new markets, however in the FTA Colombia - United States we are faced with a negotiation constructed from guesswork out of context, condicions based background unbalanced and the notorious inequality competitiveness. This last one, influenced by the degree of structural preparation of the economy, subject to development and growth factors that limit the potential of participation and use of it in the scope of free trade competitive country. Which shows a panorama of lying equality, wherein the stable environment and competition do not obey the real interests of these negotiations but rather are merely illusions that contrast with the antagonism of national interests and foreign.
