Abstract
La cuenca media y baja del río Tunjuelo se ha visto marcada por la diversidad de
actividades antrópicas que han determinado el estado actual de contaminación y los
problemas asociados que viven los habitantes del sector. Para lo cual, mediante
revisión bibliográfica de tipo descriptivo, se realizó la identificación de los cambios
más significativos que en materia socio-ecológica ha tenido el río Tunjuelo,
recopilando información de diferentes fuentes en periodos de 10 años comprendidos
entre 1950 y 1990, así mismo se realizó un análisis multitemporal por medio de la
fotointerpretación, entre 1998 y 2014 con el fin de determinar los principales cambios
demográficos de la cuenca. Esta investigación se realiza teniendo en cuenta que
actualmente no se contempla la solución a los problemas ambientales a partir del
entendimiento de la compleja interacción hombre – naturaleza; interacción, que es
de vital importancia para el entendimiento del papel de la sociedad dentro del
ecosistema aunado a una correcta planeación y toma de decisiones. Por lo anterior,
se evidenció que el desarrollo sobre la cuenca del río Tunjuelo estuvo marcado por la
inadecuada planeación, la ausencia del Estado y la marginalidad social, haciendo de
este parte fundamental de conflictos socio – ecológicos del sector.
The average and low basin of the Tunjuelo River has been marked by the diversity of
anthropic activities that have determined the current state of pollution and the
associated problems experienced by the inhabitants of the sector. For this purpose, a
descriptive bibliographical review was carried out to identify the most significant
socio-ecological changes in the Tunjuelo river, gathering information from different
sources in 10-year periods from 1950 to 1990, as well as Carried out a multitemporal
analysis between 1998 and 2014 in order to determine the main demographic
changes of the basin. This research is carried out taking into account that at present
the solution to the environmental problems is not contemplated from the
understanding of the complex interaction man - nature; Interaction, which is vital for
understanding the role of society within the ecosystem coupled with proper planning
and decision making. Due to the foregoing, it was evident that the development of the
Tunjuelo river basin was marked by inadequate planning, absence of the State and
social marginality, making this a fundamental part of the socio - ecological conflicts of
the sector.
