Colombia is a country with all kinds of people, with great professional potential and excellent workforce but since this does not ensure that you can have a fixed monthly income that supports personal and family expenses, we must enter to validate what happens with unemployment in this country. (Lora, 2013), we believe that the main reason for the high unemployment rates are due to the minimum wage and high labor costs. One of the reasons, if not the most important one, is the great difference that exists between the groups of workers in the "structural" unemployment rates. Structural unemployment is one that persists even though the economy is operating at full capacity and is therefore not due to a lack of aggregate demand but to constraints that impede a better functioning of the labor market. Now giving a quick look at the average income of the country and also take into account the variability of the same with regard to gender. On the other hand, minimum wages must be checked between the Latin region provided similar environments are available so that a good reference can be made (standard of living, purchasing power, etc.). In addition to one of the problems is that of income, the problem is a little more profound is that our national government does not have as a premise in education a financial culture where children and youth in the country understand that wage inequality is not a Impediment to be able to access a savings in a financial institution, where they learn that to obtain something is for taste or need, it is not always necessary to have access to a credit and that, moreover, because it is unknown, is amortized over the maximum number of months possible and Therefore, a greater value will be paid than was actually obtained. From the above, the following research question is posed: Can financial education be used as a method to enhance the culture of saving? Is the minimum living income in Colombia a factor that extinguishes the possibilities of creating a culture of saving?eng
