Coffee is one of the most important agricultural products in Colombia, on which about two million inhabitants of the country depend. This essay describes that, despite the importance of the product in the economy, its processes still do not have the relevance they deserve because they live under the shadow of informality since their production and marketing is not properly constituted and over time the producers Have been relegated to a paper-only collection for the achievement of the raw material, being spectators, while the intermediaries process their products and obtain great benefits. These problems are generated mainly by the low level of secondary education to the low coverage of the state entities that do not reach the sidewalks and municipalities where the farmers live and the cultural disinterest that the coffee farmers have in training so that their work stops Be a trade and become a profession, leaving open spaces and more than that business opportunities to a large number of intermediaries who take advantage to get involved in every part of the coffee planting process to the final consumer. Likewise the possible solutions are described which include both the commitment of the government and society as well as the will and interest of the same farmer so that the coffee industry leaves the informality and can be constituted as a company, improving the commercialization of its product and obtaining greater profits.
