Resumen
Con el actual renacimiento del uso de la energía nuclear como fuente alternativa de energía, la creación del programa "Átomos para la paz" por parte de Estados Unidos después del final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y el interés inicial por parte del gobierno de Gustavo Rojas Pinilla junto a la actual perspectiva del gobierno respecto a la aceptación o no de la energía nuclear como fuente alternativa de electricidad, surge la necesidad de entender la importancia de esta energía en la actual agenda energética del país.
With the current renaissance of the use of nuclear energy as an alternative source of energy, the creation of the program "Atoms for peace" by the United States after the end of the World War II and the interest during Gustavo Rojas Pinilla´s administration along with the current perspective of the government regarding the acceptance or not of nuclear energy as an alternative source of electricity, there is a need to understand the importance of this energy in the current energy agenda of the country.
