dc.description.abstractA propósito de la consolidación que ha tenido la disciplina de gerencia de proyectos (GP) como una herramienta administrativa de alto nivel, un nuevo fenómeno organizacional conocido como PMO (project management office) surgido desde el año 2000 aproximadamente, ha empezado a ser a ser visible en industrias de todo tipo a nivel mundial, teniendo en cuenta los efectos positivos generados por esta en la gestión de los proyectos. El presente trabajo de investigación, es de tipo descriptivo y analiza el fenómeno de la PMO en el sector de grifería en Colombia. El objetivo de este estudio es proponer un modelo de PMO específico para las organizaciones del sector seleccionado. Se espera que, a partir de la aplicación del modelo, se logre impactar positivamente en el desempeño de los proyectos desarrollados por esta industria. Inicialmente se adelantó una revisión literaria y se construyó el marco teórico; posteriormente se realizó el diagnóstico sectorial; seguidamente se documentaron los resultados de la investigación a partir de la elaboración del modelo; finalmente se llevó a cabo la aplicación de este en una de las empresas de la muestra obteniendo mediciones iniciales sobre su efecto.spa

dc.description.abstractenglishIn regard to the consolidation of project management as a high level administrative tool and discipline, a new organizational phenomenon as PMO (project management office), which has emerged since around 2000, has begun to be visible in all kinds of industries worldwide, taking into account the positive effects generated by this in the management of projects. This research work is descriptive and analyzes the phenomenon of PMOs in the faucets industry in Colombia. The objective of this study is to propose a specific PMOs model for organizations in the selected sector. It is expected that from the application of the model, it will be possible to have a positive impact on the performance of the products manufactured by this industry. Initially a literary revision was advanced and the theoretical framework was built. Subsequently, the sectoral diagnosis was made; Then the results of the research were documented from the elaboration of the model; finally, the application of this was carried out in one of the companies as a research sample, obtaining initial measurements of its effect.eng
