| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo del presente texto es analizar la responsabilidad de proteger y la crisis humanitaria que se ha vivido en Siria 2010-2016. Ésta, es producto del cruento conflicto que se ha desarrollado desde hace más de 6 años en el país. Las cifras de muertos, desplazados y damnificados por el conflicto interno han prendido las alarmas del mundo entero. La Organización de las Naciones Unidas, organismos regionales y organismos no gubernamentales, han aunado esfuerzos para intentar poner fin a los enfrentamientos y al sufrimiento de los civiles, invocando la doctrina de la responsabilidad de proteger. Esta doctrina, dota de herramientas a los Estados para proteger a civiles víctimas de violaciones masivas a los derechos humanos, y justificar una intervención humanitaria. A lo largo del documento, hablaremos de su evolución y la manera en la que ha sido aplicada o no en el caso Sirio, sus críticas y aspectos positivos. | dc.description.abstractenglish | The objective of this text is an analysis of the responsibility to protect and the humanitarian crisis that was experienced in Syria 2010-2016. This is a product of the brutal conflict that has been developed for more than 6 years in the country. The number of deaths, displaced and affected by the internal conflict have set off the alarms of the whole world. The United Nations, regional organizations and government agencies have joined forces to try to end the confrontations and suffering of civilians, invoking the doctrine of the responsibility to protect. This doctrine, provides tools for States to protect victims of human rights violations and justify a humanitarian intervention. Throughout the document, we will talk about the doctrine evolution, the way in which it has been applied or in the case of Sirio, its criticisms and positive aspects. The present essay has a qualitative character. I used as analysis techniques the review of documents and the documentary analysis. | eng |
