Abstract
Este trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar los avances concretos en materia de seguridad y
defensa que han logrado los estados del Cono Sur, en particular, los casos de Brasil, Chile y
Colombia respecto a la lógica democrática por la que ha transitado la región, evento que de
forma ineludible, ha conllevando cambios importantes en la definición de escenarios políticos
más estables a la hora de identificar los temas puntuales en las agendas nacionales y de
Suramérica; los cuales demandan por parte de los países como demás actores la materialización
de estrategias más concretas y eficaces para la consecución equitativa de los intereses y derechos
colectivos e individualmente otorgados.
The objective of this work is to analyze the concrete advances in terms of safety and
defense that the states of the Southern Cone have achieved, in particular, the cases of Brazil, Chile and
Colombia regarding the democratic logic through which the region has traveled, an event that
unavoidable, has led to important changes in the definition of political scenarios
more stable when it comes to identifying specific issues in the national agendas and
South America; which demand from the countries as other actors the materialization
of more concrete and effective strategies for the equitable attainment of interests and rights
collective and individually granted.
