With a world where distances and times are shortened and with technology and connectivity in constant evolution, teleworking appears more and more as a viable alternative, but above all attractive to incorporate in the strategy of operation of companies. This essay identifies for an SME in Bogotá the main challenges and impacts when implementing teleworking in their organization. The main attraction of teleworking is the benefits it offers to the company in terms of cost reduction, to the workers that increase their quality of life and to the environment in the positive impact on the earth. These benefits materialize in the reduction of carbon emissions by having to transport vehicles that transport these workers to their offices and saving fuel from motor vehicles. But in the implementation of teleworking also we have to overcome some obstacles (challenges for this document) because the organization must make strategic investments in training and technological infrastructure. For the worker the most important challenge is the change in the lifestyle, now he must have more discipline and self-control to be able to live with work in your home and deal with new things you did not have before in the office. Finally, an estimate will be made in figures for the main variables of the impact on small and medium-sized companies located in Bogotá if they opt for the incorporation of teleworking as an alternative to carry out the activities of some of their employees.
