Abstract
En las últimas décadas el papel de las humanidades ha cobrado especial importancia en los programas de formación del ingeniero electrónico en Colombia. El objetivo de este ensayo es aportar elementos que permitan instaurar y destacar la importancia de la inclusión de la asignatura de humanidades en dichos programas de formación del ingeniero electrónico, como un saber fundamental en la formación integral y desarrollo de un ingeniero, pero en la mayoría de los casos son poco valoradas, tanto por los estudiantes, como por las instituciones educativas a nivel superior, quienes en los programas de estudio (currículos) tienden a reducir las asignaturas relacionadas con las humanidades y dar un mayor énfasis en las asignaturas tecnológicas.
El presente proyecto de grado constituye una revisión documental, descriptiva y comparativa con respecto a la importancia, la inclusión y visibilidad de la asignatura de humanidades en los planes de estudio (currículos) de los programas que se dictan en Ingeniería Electrónica. Se parte de una revisión de escritos investigativos relacionados con el tema y se analiza la estructura curricular de los programas con esta denominación en once universidades de Colombia, donde se evidencia que la asignatura de Humanidades no forma parte del plan de estudios en tan sólo cuatro de ellas.
Lo anterior demuestra que en la mayoría de las universidades de Colombia le han dado la importancia que merece la asignatura de Humanidades incluyéndola en dichos programas, esto tiene como consecuencia el incremento de la capacidad de humanidad y liderazgo de un ingeniero, debido, al aumento de sensibilidad sobre la problemática en el contexto social, ambiental, económico e histórico.
In recent decades, the role of the humanities has gained special importance in the training programs of the electronic engineer in Colombia. The objective of this essay is to provide elements that allow to establish and highlight the importance of the inclusion of the humanities subject in those training programs of the electronic engineer, as a fundamental knowledge in the integral formation and development of an engineer, but in the majority of the cases are little valued, as much by the students, as by the educational institutions at the superior level, who in the programs of study (curricula) tend to reduce the subjects related to the humanities and to give a greater emphasis in the technological subjects.
The present degree project constitutes a documentary, descriptive and comparative review with respect to the importance, inclusion and visibility of the humanities subject in the study plans (curricula) of the programs that are taught in Electronic Engineering. It is based on a review of investigative writings related to the subject and the curricular structure of the programs with this denomination is analyzed in eleven universities in Colombia, where it is evident that the Humanities subject is not part of the curriculum in just four of them.
The foregoing shows that in most universities in Colombia they have given the importance that the Humanities subject deserves including it in such programs, this has consequently the increase of the capacity of humanity and leadership of an engineer, due to the increase of sensitivity on the problems in the social, environmental, economic and historical context.
