The control of pests, weeds and diseases in crops for animal consumption are characterized by the intensive use of chemical products to increase their yield and limit the action of phytopathogenic agents. In turn, this widespread use of handling products generates empty containers that, at the end of their useful period, become hazardous waste. The environmental authorities of Colombia have generated policies regarding reverse logistics of this type of post-consumption products. In these management plans, the destination is defined, which must be necessarily different from landfills. This process is the responsibility of the pesticide producers. Additionally, the creation of authorized companies for the management of this waste distributed throughout the national territory has been regulated, this to improve the final disposal of hazardous waste of chemical synthesis products. The object of this investigation is the application of reverse logistics for the correct handling and disposal of post-consumption chemical products and integral management of hazardous waste.
