Resumen
En el presente trabajo se abordará el tema del Frente Nacional, en específico los procesos de participación, las diferentes formas de movilización y de expresión social, y cómo esto influyó en el aumento de la represión, en los periodos presidenciales de 1966 a 1974. En consecuencia, se analizan los avances en materia de participación, ya que procesos como: la huelga, el daño a la propiedad, el derecho a votar, la libertad de prensa y demás acontecimientos, evidencian que hubo participación efectiva en dicho periodo de la historia de Colombia. Además de entender cómo el gobierno intento reprimir estos procesos, se ahondará en las diferentes formas de expresión que tuvieron en las urbes y en el campo. De la misma manera, se profundizó en las elecciones presidenciales de Carlos Lleras Restrepo y Misael Pastrana Borrero y la configuración de sus gabinetes. No obstante, también se hizo énfasis en las elecciones legislativas en estos dos periodos y en las consecuencias que trajo esto al Frente Nacional; en síntesis, la importancia de encontrar una relación directa entre el aumento de la expresión social y de la participación no convencional con el uso de la represión.
The present thesis, details all National Front (Colombia) issues, in specific all participation processes, the different ways of mobilization and social expression and how all these situations influenced in the increased repression in the presidential periods from 1966 to 1974. Accordingly, to analyze the advances in terms of participation, taking into account that strike processes, the property damage, the right to vote, the freedom of the press and other relevant events, which evidence that there were effective participation in that period of Colombian history. Apart of understanding how government attempt to suppress these processes, more detailed discussions will now take place as the different forms of expression in the cities and in the countryside. The present thesis, details all National Front (Colombia) issues, in specific all participation processes, the different ways of mobilization and social expression and how all these situations influenced in the increased repression in the presidential periods from 1966 to 1974. Accordingly, to analyze the advances in terms of participation, taking into account that strike processes, the property damage, the right to vote, the freedom of the press and other relevant events, which evidence that there were effective participation in that period of Colombian history. Apart of understanding how government attempt to suppress these processes, more detailed discussions will now take place as the different forms of expression in the cities and in the countryside. In the same way, there has been a deepening also in the presidential elections of Carlos Lleras Restrepo and Misael Pastrana Borrero and their cabinet members’ creation, however, particular emphasis has finally been place on legislative elections in these two periods and the consequences resulting from this, to the National Front. In summary, the importance to find a direct relation between the increase of social expression and the increase of the non-conventional participation with the use of repression.
