Given the relevance of the global commitment to the environment, its protection and the mitigation of environmental impact, there’s a need to establish a series of international regulations that allow determining environmental parameters that guarantee the articulation of mechanisms and activities, responding to effective way to the environmental problem. Consequently, the SGA emerges, which is a set of regulatory structures that oblige companies to establish and execute a series of activities and commitments internally to counteract the environmental effects of their work within a community. Therefore, there is evidence of the need to analyze the transition of the SGA and the changes made to the standard since the publication of the same in 2004 and the new update of 2015, in force since September of this year, integrating the ISO 14001 standard into the analysis. : 2004 and the updated version of 2015, which determines the objectives and standards to be covered by the standard to recognize and highlight what the benefits and difficulties have been in the implementation of the System and how companies in certain economic sectors have adapted the SGA and the ISO standard to the internal needs of the same.
