Resumen
El presente trabajo trata, resalta y demuestra la importancia del aprovechamiento de la logística 4.0 y sus aportes al proceso de distribución de última milla. Se desarrolló con un enfoque investigativo y descriptivo que ilustra cronológicamente el panorama actual del proceso de entrega de mercancías y su evolución como proceso logístico que genera ventajas competitivas con la aplicabilidad de nuevas tecnologías, en un mundo más interconectado. Se estableció y analizó cómo se ha realizado durante los últimos cinco años el proceso de entrega de mercancías en el mundo y las variables que determinan la logística de última milla en Colombia, identificando las tendencias y mejoras como proceso, en materia de cuidado del ambiente, eficiencia, tiempos de entrega, trazabilidad y estructura de costos, todas estas logradas a través de la automatización de los procesos y la adecuada integración del recurso humano, los sistemas de información y la inteligencia artificial, por parte de las empresas del sector transporte y del sector del ventas a consumidor (B2C) a nivel mundial que tienen a la cuarta revolución industrial como factor determinante en su proceso logístico. Las empresas cada vez están más preocupadas e influenciadas por los altos niveles de exigencia de los consumidores, que los motivan a continuar investigando e innovando en el uso del internet de las cosas (IoT), con la intención de mejorar sus niveles de servicio, cumpliendo con la normatividad vigente y procurando tener una oferta de valor diferenciadora a la de sus competidores al momento final del proceso de entrega.
This paper discusses highlights and demonstrates the importance of the use of logistics 4.0 and their contributions to the distribution process last mile, developed with a research and descriptive approach chronologically illustrates the current scenario of the delivery process of goods and their evolution as a logistics process that creates competitive advantages to the applicability of new technologies in an interconnected world. It was established and analyzed how it has done over the past five years the process of delivering goods in the world and the variables that determine the logistics of last mile in Colombia, identifying trends and improvements as a process regarding environmental protection, efficiency, delivery times, traceability and cost structure, all these achieved through automation of processes and the proper integration of human resources, information systems and artificial intelligence, by companies in the transport sector and the sales-to-consumer (B2C) sector worldwide that they have the fourth industrial revolution as a factor in their logistics process. Companies are increasingly concerned and influenced by high levels of consumer demand, which motivate them to continue researching and innovating in the use of the internet of things (IoT), intended to improve service levels, meeting with current regulations and seeking to have an offer differentiating value to their competitors at the final moment of the delivery process.
