Abstract
This investigative process develops the municipality of Armenia in the department of Quindío; the tests of compression resistance and rupture module are developed in the Laboratory for Testing of Civil Constructions LECIV S.A.S., located at 5 # 15-09 Armenia street; These tests respond to the problematic situation found in the question: What is the relation of the resistance to compression and the modulus of rupture that hydraulic concrete can present in the presence of metallic fibers in tests in the laboratory; Through the execution of the tests in the laboratory, following for the resistance to the compression the methodology exposed in the ASTM C 39 Standard and for the modulus of rupture the Standard ASTM C 78; it was obtained that: The ratio found between the expected compressive strength and the average compressive strength found of normal cylinders of compressive strength of 350 kg / cm2 with the addition of metal fibers tested at the age of 7 days is 1 : 0.80; which represents 80% of the resistance expected at 28 days of age
