Abstract
This article seeks to establish the origin and development of the concept of natural law in St. Thomas Aquinas, especially the relation that is established between reason and will. Let us remember that this relation has been the object of numerous studies, especially with reference to the same concept in Francisco Suarez’ work. The article deals with the subject in an objective way and as witness of what our theologian thought and established in his writings. When we qualify him as theologian, we understand where he is talking from, that is to say, from his condition of believer having as source revelation it self.
