Due to the social, economic and political situation in Venezuela, mixed migratory flows have increased by 2500% between 2015 and 2019 and the humanitarian crisis is becoming increasingly worrying not only within the country, but in the region. For this reason, the international community, in particular, cooperation agencies, have advanced joint and articulated work to respond to this migration crisis, and for this reason, the Secretary of the UN General in February 2018 appointed a Special Representative Joint for Refugees and Migrants , with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and proposed to provide a much more articulated international cooperation response through of a Regional Platform with representation in 16 countries located in the region of Latin America and the Caribbean. It is vital for the academic world to recognize the problems that have received the efforts and results of the response of international cooperation against what is currently considered the second most important migration crisis worldwide.
