Abstract
Las habilidades por género ha sido un tema que ha sido investigado por décadas, constituyendo diferentes puntos de vista no solo sobre las habilidades cognitivas, sino emocionales y sociales. Uno de los estudios que son la base teórica sobre la cual se sustenta numerosas investigaciones actuales, corresponde a las conclusiones realizadas por Maccoby y Jacklin en su libro ‘The Psychology of sex differences’ donde exponen que las mujeres tiene mayor habilidad cognitiva en lenguaje y los hombres en matemáticas, frente a la necesidad de soportar dichas afirmaciones en la educación superior Colombiana, esta investigación recolecta los resultados de las pruebas Saber PRO de las pruebas genéricas en razonamiento cuantitativo y comunicación escrita desde el 2016 al 2018 y enfrenta los resultados para conocer en qué medida responde a estos supuestos, resolviendo que las habilidades por género pueden estar condicionadas a variables sociales.
Skills, Competence by gender, is a topic that has been investigated for decades, making different points of view not only on cognitive skills, also emotional and social ones. One of the cases studies with a theoretical basis on which this and other research is based corresponds to the conclusions made by Maccoby and Jacklin in their book 'The psychology of sexual differences', where they state that women have greater cognitive ability in language and men In mathematics.
This case of study is faced for Colombian higher education, to get true some of this affirmations. this research collects the results of the “Saber PRO” tests of the generic tests in quantitative reasoning and written communication from 2016 to 2018 and faces the results to know what The measure responds to these assumptions, resolving that gender skills may be conditioned by social variables.
