In this paper, a thesis is proposed, which leads to the fact that the Latin American markets have not achieved integration through MILA, because sufficient tools have not been developed to achieve an integrated system that allows the actions to operate, without incurring any risk. Although MILA has brought for companies the possibility of raising more resources for their financing, as well as the opening to new markets and investors, there is no evidence that a significant increase has been generated since the integration was carried out in 2011. The above, mainly because the stock exchanges in Mexico, Peru, Chile and Colombia are used to local trading with other markets in the region and not in an integrated manner. However, when integration took place, it was determined that each country would follow its own regulations. In this way, investors must understand how each of the operations they perform legally works, and it does not imply a corporate and operational integration of the exchanges; since through a platform the professionals of the stock market carry out the operations requested by their clients. The financial system is an important factor for economic growth, because it attracts domestic and foreign investors, who want to invest in emerging economies, bringing their capital to choose companies that have a growth projection. Consequently, it lowers the cost of capital for issuers and causes an increase in the value of the company, in addition to improving the operating efficiency of the different exchanges. Likewise, the disclosure of information from companies results in trust in the markets and the price formation that is generated day by day in the negotiation wheels, because clients have the possibility of consulting the financial statements of each company, giving investors tools to make a decision. The S&P MILA 40 Index is designed to measure the performance of the most important and most liquid stocks traded on the MILA platform. However, the volume traded is affected by a situation of a monetary order, because as it does not have a unified currency for the integration of the four countries, the negotiations are subject to the exchange rate against the dollar. Therefore, it could be deduced that the creation of MILA is still recent and it has not been possible to consolidate an integration of the stock exchanges of the countries that make up MILA, generating that investors must incur multiple risks, which they cannot control. . Putting your capital at risk due to the operational processes that must be carried out and the lack of unified regulations for all the stock exchanges that participate in MILA.
