Management is a delegated responsibility that is assumed in the development of any project, regardless of its final objective, therefore, it is a fact that must be assumed with high responsibility, since the success or failure of the venture depends on this direction. that is proposed to develop. With the advancement of the different sciences and especially in engineering, this position has been established, which is a highly important role within the structure of an organization that undertakes any type of work, generally the project management is assigned to a person that complies with the planned profile or, failing that, a professional who meets the appropriate characteristics to assume all the commitment that entails, be responsible for the realization of the
project and bring it to a successful end.
The person in charge or manager of the project is not alone, they have modern support tools and even specialized texts and previous studies that are key elements for the project management to be successful. The PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) version 6 (September 6, 2017), indicates that the project manager seeks to distribute the resources correctly, resulting in all the processes that are going to be developed to be systematized and fulfilled. whatever the end goal is; However, in the essay an extension is made beyond what the guide indicates and various aspects related to the development of a project are taken as reference. Therefore, some emblematic cases are taken as a reference that represent errors or failures when carrying out a project that have led to the failure of the intended objective, which is none other than to deliver it under the terms and conditions established in terms of costs. , times, operability and start-up among others. The letter ends by presenting some conclusions regarding the relationship between project management and errors, based on the documents consulted and the experiences analyzed in different sectors, delivering a letter that can serve as initial support to those who enter the study of project management and have a reference against the most frequent errors and how to avoid their occurrence in the development of any independent project of whatever nature it may have.
