In recent decades it has been perceived how state organizations that have social responsibility have achieved greater visibility, gaining a preponderant place in the business and corporate world, with which they have achieved not only greater effectiveness and increased competitiveness, but also the consolidation of its corporate image. The Military Forces are not alien to this phenomenon, hence a growing interest in strengthening the institutional image, materialized in philanthropy actions classified as "social responsibility." In this essay, an analysis is carried out in the military field of the concept of corporate social responsibility –RSE- compared to its global and normative approach, by reviewing the actions carried out by military institutions and classified as “social responsibility”, where environmental and social management are integrated with their missionary processes, mainly aimed at the external client, in a way that responds to the current context, and thus, indirectly, directs the operation of the Forces towards their sustainability, but without including holistically the components of CSR, which sometimes generates that these actions are reflected as dispersed efforts of an environmental and social nature. This is how it is necessary to propose an organizational model for the Military Forces with a corporate approach adapted to the nature of the entity, without neglecting its constitutional purpose and integrating the components of corporate social responsibility aimed at increasing competitiveness and that shape your path to sustainability and sustainability.
