Abstract
Tras la pandemia del COVID-19, el mercado de las criptomonedas aumentó su demanda a nivel nacional e internacional, sin embargo, en Colombia las criptomonedas, no existe una regulación que haga alusión a las mismas, ya que los argumentos se enfocan en el posible incremento del Lavado de Activos y Financiación del Terrorismo, es decir, este tipo de moneda virtual sirva como un puente para volver el dinero ilegal de actos ilícitos en legal. Por tal motivo, la Auditoría Forense tendrá como objetivo identificar pruebas de presuntos actos delictivos cometidos a través de las Criptomonedas, en donde el Auditor Forense podrá utilizar diversas herramientas, por ejemplo: herramientas tradicionales, herramientas tecnológicas y herramientas legislativas.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the cryptocurrency market increased both its supply and demand nationally and internationally, however, in Colombia cryptocurrencies are not legal yet or there isn’t exist normativity similar with the same, as the arguments focus on the possible increase in Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing, that is to say, type of virtual currency work as a bridge to make illegal money from illegal acts in legal money. By means of, Forensic Audit will have the purpose to identify evidence about alleged criminal acts committed through the Cryptocurrencies, where the Forensic Auditor may use different tools for audit the cryptocurrencies, for example: traditional tools, technological tools, and legislative tools.
