The ecosystems of moriches have a high ecological, cultural and socioeconomic importance for the inhabitants of the municipality of Puerto Gaitán, especially for the village Kioscos, currently this type of ecosystem is threatened and is in a state of vulnerability, so it is important to make a characterization and physical delimitation of the areas where it is located, said delimitation was made through free access physiographic information and using geographic information analysis tools, the layers of interest were normalized to generate a weighting and thus obtain the areas where they are and the morichales could be regenerated. From the processing carried out, it was obtained that of the total area of the sidewalk, 12.9% is suitable and 3.6% is potentially suitable.
