Resumen
El retail surge como un modelo de negocio de comercialización entre los años 1900 y 1945, a través de la venta de productos y/ó servicios al cliente final, el objetivo es satisfacer las necesidades de los consumidores. Éste, es un sector que aporta a la economía de los países, fortaleciendo y favoreciendo el sector productivo, a través del retail se comercializa de manera masiva los productos a través de tiendas y locales comerciales con venta directa la publico. El ejemplo más relevante lo constituyen las cadenas de supermercados ó también conocidas grandes superficies que cuentan con áreas superiores a los 500 mt2, una oferta logística amplia, un extenso portafolio de productos y un gran poder de negociación con sus proveedores, que ofrece una experiencia de compra para sus clientes y precios competitivos. La omnicanalidad es la digitalización y modernización de los canales de distribución, el principal reto de estos es ofrecer un excelente servicio y una experiencia de compra a los consumidores, sin tener en cuenta el canal por el que se atienda. El retail debe enfocarse en entender las necesidades del cliente y su manera de comprar, lo cual los lleva a adaptarse a los cambios tecnológicos y ser eficientes en la oferta y experiencia que se le brinde, las tiendas físicas y digitales deben captar y fidelizar a través del servicio a sus clientes, es allí cuando el Liderazgo de los equipos es relevante y el factor diferenciador está en la gente.

Retail must focus on understanding customer needs and their way of buying, which leads them to adapt to technological changes and be efficient in the offer and experience that is provided, physical and digital stores must attract and retain loyalty through service to its clients, it is there when the Leadership of the teams is relevant and the differentiating factor is in the people.
