dc.description.abstract | Las infecciones respiratorias agudas representan uno de los principales problemas de salud pública en la población pediátrica, comprendiendo entre 30% y 60% de todas las hospitalizaciones en menores de 5 años. Nos interesamos en el uso de microalbuminuria como posible marcador de compromiso endotelial. Se debe tener en cuenta que este marcador ya ha sido empleado en patologías como la nefropatía diabética e hipertensión arterial principalmente, siendo predictor de morbi-mortalidad. En una investigación previa llevada a cabo en la Subred Integrada De Servicios De Salud Suroccidente (E.S.E) - USS Patio Bonito Tintal, se estudió el uso de proteinuria en pacientes con bronquiolitis. Los resultados indicaron que, sin importar la severidad del cuadro, hubo rangos positivos de proteinuria. Sin embargo, los resultados no fueron concluyentes. El objetivo general del estudio es estimar la prevalencia de microalbuminuria en pacientes con infección respiratoria aguda baja en la Subred Integrada de Servicios de Salud Suroccidente E.S.E USS Hospital Occidente de Kennedy y USS Patio Bonito Tintal del servicio de urgencias y Unidad de cuidados intensivos durante el periodo de tiempo de julio y octubre 2021. | spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | Acute respiratory infections represent one of the main public health problems in the pediatric population, comprising between 30% and 60% of all hospitalizations in children under 5 years of age. We became interested in the use of microalbuminuria as a possible marker of endothelial compromise. It should be taken into account that this marker has already been used in diseases such as diabetic nephropathy and arterial hypertension, mainly, being a predictor of morbidity and mortality. In a previous investigation carried out in the Southwest Comprehensive Health Services Subnetwork - USS Patio Bonito Tintal, the use of proteinuria in patients with bronchiolitis was studied. The results indicated that regardless of the severity of the condition, there were positive ranges of proteinuria. However, the results were not conclusive7.
