Abstract
El estado moderno es la construcción y evolución de las interacciones humanas a lo largo de la historia, además se ha de sumar que constantemente las sociedades humanas son encuentran en movimiento y evolución, sin embargo, no solo la evolución se da en aspectos positivos sino negativos. Para nadie es un secreto que las amenazas en materia de seguridad también evolucionan constantemente y para ello el Estado debe estar en preparación constante en conjunto con su organismo de seguridad para hacerles frente, sin embargo, ha habido momentos que en el caso particular colombiano las circunstancias hicieron que se sobrepasen las capacidades tanto humanas como materiales que pose las instituciones en especial la Policía Nacional. Es por ello que como fuente de apoyo a la seguridad principalmente ciudadana se encuentra el sector de la vigilancia y seguridad privada que pude dar aportes significativos para consolidar la seguridad ciudadana. Para ello es necesario la creación y aplicación de políticas públicas que permitan la interoperabilidad y trabajo mancomunado entre el sector de la vigilancia y seguridad privada y las instituciones de seguridad publica encabezadas por la Policía Nacional. Esto permitirá afrontar de mejor manera los nuevos retos de seguridad que se encuentra en evolución constante y ayudará a consolidar de mejor manera la seguridad ciudadana en Colombia.
The modern state is the construction and evolution of human interactions throughout history, it must also be added that human societies are constantly in movement and evolution, however, not only evolution occurs in positive but negative aspects. It is no secret to anyone that security threats also evolve constantly and for this the State must be in constant preparation in conjunction with its security agency to face them, however, there have been moments that in the particular Colombian case the circumstances They caused the human and material capacities of the institutions, especially the National Police, to be exceeded. That is why as a source of support for mainly citizen security is the private security and surveillance sector that can make significant contributions to consolidate citizen security. For this, it is necessary to create and implement public policies that allow interoperability and joint work between the private security and surveillance sector and the public security institutions headed by the National Police. This will make it possible to better face the new security challenges that are constantly evolving and will help to better consolidate citizen security in the country.
