Abstract
El presente ensayo se realiza utilizando el método de investigación analítica e
investigación deductiva, se hace un análisis sobre las ventajas de usar el plástico reciclado
(PET), en la fabricación de mampostería no portante para la construcción de viviendas en
Bogotá. En primer lugar, se contextualiza la situación ambiental en la que se encuentra
Bogotá debido a la utilización excesiva de plásticos de un solo uso, seguidamente, se
realiza una descripción del material PET y el uso que le damos cotidianamente;
posteriormente se describe los procesos que se desarrollan para fabricar ladrillos de
mampostería con polímero PET dentro de su estructura, incluyendo los análisis y pruebas
de laboratorio que deben realizarse a los ladrillos para garantizar que sean un material
aceptable para uso en construcción; finalmente se resaltan las ventajas técnicas y
ambientales que puede traer el uso de polímeros reciclados PET en la construcción de
viviendas en Bogotá.
The present essay is carried out using the method of analytical investigation and
deductive investigation, an analysis is made on the advantages of using recycled plastic
(PET), in the manufacture of non-bearing masonry for the construction of houses in
Bogota. In the first place, the environmental situation in which it finds itself is contextualized.
Bogotá due to the excessive use of single-use plastics, then,
makes a description of the PET material and the use we give it on a daily basis;
Subsequently, the processes that are developed to manufacture bricks of
masonry with PET polymer within its structure, including analysis and testing
laboratory tests that must be carried out on the bricks to guarantee that they are a material
acceptable for construction use; Finally, the technical advantages and
environmental benefits that the use of recycled PET polymers can bring in the construction of
homes in Bogota.
