Abstract
El presente ensayo académico aborda sustancialmente la importancia social, jurídica y penal de establecer la restricción del porte de armas cortopunzantes -armas blancas- en la población colombiana, específicamente en la ciudad de Bogotá, a la luz de la ley 2197 de 2022. En la primera parte describe cada uno de los tipos de armas cortopunzantes que existen y qué tipo de lesiones pueden causar al ser manipuladas con alevosía y premeditación. En un segundo momento se determinan las condiciones a favor y en contra de legitimar el porte de las armas cortopunzantes en una ley como delito punitivo.
This present academic essay addresses the social, legal and criminal importance of establishing the restriction of the possession of sharp weapons -white weapons- in the Colombian population, specifically in Bogotá city, in light of the law 2197 of 2022 . In the first part, it describes each of the types of sharp weapons that exist and what type of injuries they can cause when handled with treachery and premeditation. In a second moment, the conditions for and against of legitimizing the carrying of sharp weapons in a law as a punitive crime are determined.
