dc.description.abstractEl Programa de protección contra caídas es un conjunto de medidas de protección individual y colectiva, que deben implementar todos los empleadores para mitigar el riesgo de trabajo en alturas. Como es bien sabido el trabajo en alturas está considerado como uno de los trabajos de alto riesgo, debido a que en las estadísticas nacionales, es una de las primeras causas de accidentalidad y de muerte en el trabajo. Que en virtud de lo anterior, se hace necesario establecer la resolución 1409 de 2012 Reglamento de Seguridad para protección contra caídas en trabajo en alturas. Ya que de acuerdo a la normatividad Colombiana es obligación de los empleadores organizar y garantizar el funcionamiento de un Sistema de Gestión de la Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo (SG-SST), se identifican condiciones peligrosas que puedan afectar al trabajador en el momento de una caída, tales como áreas con obstáculos, bordes peligrosos, elementos salientes, puntiagudos, sistemas energizados, máquinas en movimiento, entre otros, incluso en alturas inferiores a las establecidas en la resolución 1409 de 2012 Reglamento de Seguridad para protección contra caídas en trabajo en alturas, se deberán establecer medidas de prevención o protección contra caídas que protejan al trabajador. Así mismo la normatividad vigente dice que se deberán seguir estándares nacionales y en su ausencia, se deberán aplicar estándares internacionales, con equipos certificados y personal con formación especializada.spa

Likewise the in force legislation says that they will have to follow national standards and in his absence, international standards will have to be applied, with certified equipment’s and personnel with specialized formation.eng
