Abstract
La presente investigación hace un recorrido del concepto de Responsabilidad Social a través de la historia, hasta llegar una revisión conceptual a la luz de la norma ISO 26000 que la describe como el compromiso efectivo de las empresas con la calidad de vida de sus trabajadores, sus clientes o usuarios, y con los cambios para avanzar en el desarrollo humano y sostenible de la sociedad. Cuando la RSE permea la gestión interna y externa de una empresa mediante el desarrollo de programas y proyectos significativos se convierte en componente determinante de su imagen corporativa y de su reputación social, que aumenta los activos intangibles y genera mayor ventaja competitiva
This research makes a tour of the concept of Social Responsibility through history, reaching a conceptual revision in the light of the ISO 26000 standard describes a real commitment of the companies to the quality of life of its employees, customers or users, and changes to advance human and sustainable development of society. When CSR permeates the internal and external management of a business by developing important projects and programs it becomes crucial component of its corporate image and social reputation, increasing intangible assets and generates competitive advantage. Under the above assumptions, this paper revealed as TRANSMILENIO SA and its concessionaires of the Integrated System of Public Transportation (SITP) develop jointly a model of Social Responsibility and Sustainability high impact and social visibility, promoting civic culture among users accompanying relevant civic initiatives for sustainable human development communities that contribute to social transformation and impact the local, district, regional and national context.
