Abstract
This paper shows the different studies (market, technical and financial) carried out to determine the viability of a start up for a brand of artisanal refreshing drinks, made from a vegetable that brings health benefits. In the first chapter, the technical and theoretical concepts applied in this study are justified; in the second chapter the work is developed through three studies: the market study, in which the target market is identified, the competition is analyzed and the added value of the brand is determined; the technical study, which determines the volume capacity to be produced and explains in detail which are and how all the resources necessary to produce that capacity will be used; and the financial study, in which all the costs involved in the project are determined, the sale price is determined, the break-even point is calculated, the projections are made for the following 5 years and the free cash flow is prepared to finally calculate the net present value and the rate of return of the project. Due to the quantitative evaluation of the market only 60 surveys were carried out (margin of error of 11.23%), through this document it is still not possible to ensure that a brand of refreshing beverages can be implemented; so it is necessary to perform a more extensive field work that yields results with an acceptable error (5%).
