Abstract
The dependence on water and natural resources added to the growing growth of the world population, have made us turn water sources into wastewater disposal centers for domestic and industrial waste, to the point where the biological wealth we have, which has been altered dramatically.
In Colombia, as in most countries that have large biological resources, these have been abused for generations and with the current regulations worldwide for the care of these, the different governments that the country has had, have been established policies and laws that allow the protection and control of water resources, specifically in terms of the discharge that is made to water sources, we talk about articles 79 and 80 of the Political Constitution of Colombia of 1991, which states that it is the duty of the State to protect the diversity and integrity of the environment, to conserve areas of special ecological importance and to promote environmental education, to guarantee the right of all people to enjoy a healthy environment; as well as planning the management and use of natural resources, to ensure their sustainable development, conservation, restoration or replacement.
