The drinking water treatment plant, belonging to the FAIMSYS aqueduct, in Cachipay, municipality of Cundinamarca, was built as a gravity water supply system, which currently has a collection pipeline, an adduction line up to the sand trap, and from the sand trap to a drinking water treatment plant where it subsequently feeds the distribution networks, all these components were built more than 30 years ago and their physical and capacity characteristics have to be analyzed and diagnosed.
It is for this reason that taking into account the projected design flows, we proceed to verify how optimal and efficient the system is from the intake to the PTAP, analyzing the parameters mentioned by the RAS regulation, following its technical specifications, in turn. Verifies taking into account RES 0330 of 2017. This will give a clearer picture of the status of existing systems, it can be defined if they meet the characteristics and / or parameters mentioned in these standards and their evaluation will lead to the development of the plan shock or improvement and optimization for the year 2049.
The methodology to achieve the objectives and obtain the best results should range from the surveying of existing systems or components to the final diagnosis, contemplating a series of important points for the collection of vital information such as topography, water analysis, studies of population, among others. That is why it is of great importance the provision of this information by the municipality, in order to obtain the necessary information to be able to execute the project.
