Abstract
Throughout human history there have been countless challenges and difficulties to which human beings have tried to make a solution. One of the main objectives of applied science has been the simplification of complexity. Daily activities and construction sites represent the development of civilization over time.
Today it is common to see cities full of large buildings, thousands of centers of production of artifacts, technology applied in all possible ways, consequently, respect for the natural environment has been lost to a large extent. The following text will set out a method to contribute to environmental improvement with the application and construction of sustainable housing, obtaining concrete results, which are initially imagined, then planned and finally achieved using an innovative methodology with the help of design thinking.
Initially, it is necessary to understand what sustainable housing is. It can be defined as one that is efficient and at the same time is environmentally friendly, saves energy, water and reduces pollution (Cruz, 2014). This type of construction minimizes the environmental impact with the use of materials that can be effectively recycled to be reused as new raw materials. Sustainable housing not only uses recycled materials, but must also take advantage of the natural conditions of the environment, in this way, it is also a bioclimatic housing because it takes advantage of the energy needs that it requires.
