This study addressed the analysis of the teaching research role on the premise of promoting training for social responsibility as a principle in students associated with the elective line in Business Management and Entrepreneurship of the Bosques de Sherwood School. This initiative is framed in the line of Education and Society and started from the interpretive hermeneutical paradigm, it was deployed under a qualitative approach that was developed through a case study focused on teachers and students who are part of the subject described in this institution. From there, the categories of the teaching research role, social responsibility and pedagogical strategy were mainly analyzed with the help of tools that allowed us to identify as part of the main findings, the interest of teachers to reinforce their role as researchers and their intention with respect to favoring the training processes for social responsibility as an exercise that arises from the interest of the individual, from the perspective of understanding the impact of their actions. In the same way, it was evident among the students the need to articulate to their study topics, elements that strengthen their professional preparation not only within the framework of technical learning, but also in the reinforcement of their social skills. The foregoing framed in a scheme of principles and values promoted by the institution.
As a result, the teaching research role is recognized and a proposal is presented that suggests a pedagogical strategy that, based on this identification, encourages synergy between these needs based on permanent feedback from the teaching exercise. That is, it is committed to the joint creation of knowledge with the students by promoting scenarios that facilitate the recognition of the teaching work, the identification of the students' needs, their context and their training as socially responsible individuals.
