In the current context, Colombia faces many challenges, especially in terms of security, since it is known that it has internal problems to preserve it throughout its national territory, including in the periphery, where the State does not exercise a presence and establishes an order. For this reason, many multinational companies to mitigate the risk in their investments, use of private entities to provide security to the patrimony, it is therefore that in Colombia there has been a proliferation in private security services, as a measure to mitigate the negative impact of insecurity as a result of illegal groups and new forms of crime.
It is for this reason that this essay seeks to state the benefits of Colombian legislation making the entry of foreign investment more flexible in terms of private security and, in turn, the inconveniences that they can bring to Colombia in terms of sovereignty from the point of view of complex interdependence theory.
