The path that will be carried out in this paper aims to highlight the importance of university social responsibility in the training process of a student. It is precisely the responsibility in the training that an institution has within the framework of the implicit and the explicit, what must be kept on the radar and the transformation of a student in the construction of knowledge; and what is given to the society in order to generate support for growth in different issues.
The approach that university social responsibility has had in various areas is highlighted, but there has been no clarity on how the student and the teacher can be related to the impact of their mental health. When the importance of this impact is underlined, it can be considered in the construction of adequate environments for learning and knowledge, teaching, as well as the favoring of environments that are built on the basis of inclusion and destigmatization.
The proposal of a perspective of relationship between university social responsibility and mental health is proposed in three approaches: the first in the formative responsibility, in relation to the mental health of students, pedagogical strategies and learning, giving relevance to emotional intelligence and ethics posed as a transversal axis in this process; secondly, the responsibility in the context, demonstrating what happens in the educational field, the social responsibility assigned to the teacher, promoting their mental health, the abilities and skills in the training process, the development of emotional competences and bioethics in the university social responsibility; and thirdly, social commitment, which includes mental health content, as well as support scenarios for students.
