Abstract

Of these patients 69 had defined Primary immunodeficiency diseases and 256 patients were excluded because were considered either non primary immunodeficiency or medical records where incomplete. Results Patients aged from 1- 5 years corresponding to 33% of all patients were more frequently affected followed by 6 – 11 months including 17 cases. 21 cases corresponded to patients younger than 1 year of age. 80% of the affected children were males. Antibody deficit was the type of immunodeficiency most frequently presented accounting for 56.5% followed by T- B Lymphocyte deficiency 36% of all cases. Conclusions Patients with PID at Hospital Universitario Clínica San Rafael, had the same distribution according to age and gender as international studies. The most frequent PID was antibody defects as expected. There is a poor follow up of patients, leading to sub registries and miss diagnosis.
